First the X-Files, now Coach. It feels so ’90s in here!
Following Fox’s announcement that it’s bringing back the X-Files, NBC has revealed that it too is re-booting an old show. Coach, the football comedy starring Emmy-winner Craig T. Nelson, is coming back for 13 episodes with Nelson reprising his role as Hayden Fox.
The original run of Coach spent nine seasons on ABC from 1989 to 1997 and centered around Hayden Fox, the head coach of the fictional Minnesota State Screaming Eagles football team. In the new incarnation of the show, Fox is called out of retirement to assist his son who has taken a head coaching job at a college in Pennsylvania.
