Yesterday president-elect Donald Trump met with many of the nation’s top ranking TV network execs and anchors, and the meeting, according to sources… did NOT go as presumed.
A source to the New York Post says those in attendance were:
- CNN chief Jeff Zucker
- CBS’s Norah O’Donnell, John Dickerson, Charlie Rose, Christopher Isham and Gayle King
- NBC’s Deborah Turness, Lester Hold and Chuck Todd
- ABC’s James Goldston, George Stephanopoulos, David Muir and Martha Raddatz
A source to the NY Post’s story said, “the TV The source said, “The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down. The meeting was a total disaster.”
Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said, “I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed.”
One source described the meeting, “it was like a [expletive] firing squad.”
Kellyanne Conway, Trump spokeswoman looked at the meeting differently and told reporters, “Excellent meetings with the top executives of the major networks. Pretty unprecedented meeting we put together in two days.”
Yeah, the next 4 years are going to be interesting, to put it mildly.
